On September 4, 2026, at the Thanh Xuan Cultural, Information and Sports Center (Hanoi), the Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) successfully organized a sports festival to celebrate its 19th anniversary (September 6, 2007 – September 6, 2026). The festival saw the participation of over 200 athletes, along with numerous staff, employees, and supporters from VIDIFI and VDB units, as well as special guests, creating a vibrant, unifying, and emotionally charged sporting event.

A day of sports, camaraderie, and bonding.

Attending the Sports Festival were Mr. Bui Van Thong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIDIFI, Mr. Tran Anh Tu – General Director of VIDIFI, and other members of the VIDIFI leadership team. On the side of the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB), the event was honored to welcome Mr. Le Van Hoan – Chairman of the Board of Directors of VDB, Mr. Dao Quang Truong – General Director of VDB, and other members of the VDB leadership team, representatives of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, Executive Board, and Trade Union Executive Committee of VDB.

The sports event also saw the full participation of staff and employees from the VIDIFI General Corporation's office, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Management and Operation Company Limited, National Highway 5 Maintenance and Operation Management Board, VIDIFI Road Construction and Maintenance Enterprise, VDF Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, as well as staff and employees from VDB Head Office, VDB Transaction Office 1, and Trang An Investment Consulting Joint Stock Company.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Pham Viet Son – Chairman of the Trade Union and Deputy General Director of VIDIFI – emphasized the spirit of camaraderie, solidarity, fair play, and responsibility of the athletes. The sports festival also provided an opportunity for employees to improve their health, socialize, and strengthen bonds between units.

Immediately afterwards, Comrade Mai Van Phan, representing all the athletes, took an oath, expressing their determination to compete to the best of their abilities, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, and for the honor of their unit. Comrade Mai Van Phan,

The sports festival was lively with four competitive events: Football, Tug-of-War, Table Tennis, and Pickleball. The matches were exciting, with active participation from athletes and enthusiastic support from staff and workers. Throughout each event, the spirit of teamwork, determination, and camaraderie between units was clearly demonstrated. The athletes delivered thrilling and captivating matches, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the large audience.

The tug-of-war event received enthusiastic and spirited support from a large number of spectators, contributing to an exciting and united atmosphere at the Sports Festival.

At the conclusion of the competitions, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 first prizes, 7 second prizes, and 11 third prizes to the athletes and teams who achieved success in the various events.

Meeting and looking back on VIDIFI's 19-year journey.

Following the exciting competitions, the closing ceremony and cultural exchange took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with the participation of VDB leaders, VIDIFI leaders, and a large number of staff and employees from various units.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Management Board of VIDIFI, Mr. Bui Van Thong – Chairman of the Board of Directors – reviewed the proud 19-year journey of building and developing VIDIFI Corporation, and expressed his deep gratitude to the generations of leaders, staff, and employees of VDB and VIDIFI who have accompanied and contributed throughout this journey.

He highlighted the outstanding milestones after 19 years of construction and development, notably the completion and commissioning of the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway, along with maintaining safety and smooth management, operation, maintenance, and toll collection on this expressway as well as National Highway 5. Significantly, on August 27, 2026, the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway project was again honored with the Best Innovation in Sustainable Financial Products & Services award at the 16th Global Sustainable Finance Conference in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Entering a new phase of development, in addition to leveraging its experience in the field of transportation infrastructure, VIDIFI is focusing on implementing the Bat Khoi - Bat Trang Concentrated Social Housing Project. The Chairman of the Board of Directors expects the team of over 800 employees to continue to demonstrate a spirit of responsibility, unity, and innovation, working alongside VIDIFI to achieve the set goals and move towards sustainable development on this new path forward.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors extends his best wishes to all VIDIFI employees and their families for good health, happiness, and success; wishes for the solidarity within the VIDIFI family to grow stronger; and wishes VIDIFI to enter its 20th year with renewed faith, enthusiasm, motivation, and many new successes.
