VIDIFI Working Group pays tribute to Heroes and Martyrs on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 17-18, 2025, Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) organized a working delegation led by comrade Nguyen Minh Tho - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and comrades Tran Anh Tu - Deputy Secretary of the Party. Party Committee, General Director, comrade Pham Quang Huy - Member of the Party Executive Committee, members of the Board of Directors came to offer flowers and incense to pay tribute and commemorate the Martyrs at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery and the Vi Xuyen Front Martyrs Temple at high point 468, Nam Ngat village, Vi Xuyen commune, Tuyen Quang province.

Participating in the working group were also comrades in the Party Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Board of General Directors, leaders of Departments and Offices under the Corporation, along with leaders of Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Management and Operation Company, VIDIFI Road Construction and Maintenance Enterprise, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Toll Stations and National Highway 5, representatives of the Trade Union, Youth Union and Veterans of the Corporation.

In the sacred atmosphere at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery - the resting place of more than 1,800 soldiers who died in the war to protect the Northern border (1979-1989), the VIDIFI Working Group spent a moment of solemn silence, respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Central Memorial and lit incense sticks on each grave, expressing infinite gratitude for the noble sacrifice of his father's generation, the outstanding sons who fell to protect Protect every inch of the Fatherland's sacred land.

Here, the delegation heard explanations about the heroic history of the war to protect the Northern border, fierce battles and heroic sacrifices, helping each member better understand the value of independence and freedom today.

Next, the delegation went to the Martyrs' Temple at high point 468, a place marking fierce battles. The delegation offered ceremonies and offered incense to commemorate the more than 4,000 officers and soldiers who heroically sacrificed their lives with the spirit of "Living by the rocks to fight the enemy, dying and turning to stone for immortality", determined to protect every inch of the Fatherland's sacred land.

Also within the framework of commemorative activities, from July 10-12, 2025, VIDIFI's delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director joined the delegation of the Vietnam Development Bank to offer incense at red addresses: Truong Bon relic site, Dong Loc crossroads, Road 9 Cemetery, Truong Son Cemetery, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel and Thach Han River flower landing station, Quang Tri province. These activities are not only an opportunity to review heroic history, but also express deep gratitude to the Heroes and Martyrs who sacrificed for the nation's independence and freedom.

The journey of offering incense to commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs at revolutionary historical relics and national martyrs' cemeteries is a traditional activity maintained by the Corporation every year to raise awareness, educate on the tradition of "Revolutionary Heroes", the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and spread the spirit of patriotism to officials, party members, and workers throughout the Corporation.

Through these activities, VIDIFI once again engraved the message: "Grateful to the fallen - to continue building an everlasting Fatherland." This is not only a reminder of the noble sacrifice, but also a strong motivation for each VIDIFI officer and employee to contribute to the sustainable development of the country, worthy of the merits of previous generations.
